Our Company

  • Earthchic, LLC was created in 2003 by Sallye Irvine and Claire Leaman from our commitment and great enthusiam for educating and incorporating recycling into the lives of individuals. Based upon the conviction that individuals make a difference and that recycling can be an enjoyable and even stylish way of life, Earthchic seeks to provide education and stylish products to support individuals in making environmentally constructive choices.

Although each individual choice to re-use or recycle can seem small, each one absolutely contributes to the conservation of the Earth's resources and is not a wasted effort. Preservation of the Earth's resources is a paramount concern for all of us since it means the state of the environment in which we all, and our children, live in day to day. The actions of each one of us do make a difference, plus making environmentally positive choices can be enjoyable and stylish. You absolutely do make a difference.

    Ourselves

Claire Leaman and Sallye Irvine grew up together in New Orleans, Louisiana. The new Fleur de Lis bag was designed in solidarity for this great city, our families and friends there. A portion of the proceeds go to nonprofit organizations helping in the rebuild. In addition to running Earthchic, Claire works for Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans building low income housing, and Sallye continues to reside, write prolifically and raise a large family in the Gulf South region. We both like to pick up trash and politely refuse plastic bags at check-out.
